"With negative temps and freezing weather last week and my kiddos not stepping a toe outside we decided to make it a week of learning more about our interests.
My husband who is always showing our kiddos how to tie one knot or another thought it would be a good idea for us all to expand on our knot tying. So with that in mind I found an amazing Unit Study for us all on knot tying! I thought it would just be learning a few simple easy knots but here we are a week in and we're still learning knots we have never even heard about!! Not only are we learning how to tie these different knots like the Bloodknot and Truckers Hitch Knot we are also learning when we would use each knot as well as the pros and cons to each one. It's actually been a fun family experience doing this knot study together.
Our kiddos now carry two small sizes of rope in their pockets to practice the current knots they are learning on their own time.
I cannot recommend this Knot Unit Study from Heart Spark Homeschool LLC enough!! It has by far exceeded mine and my husbands expectations!"
